The no28 IDEC Sport Oreca finished the session in second spot after Job Van Uitert posted a 1m41.458, just 0.096s behind the lead car.Van Uitert also finished just 0.023sahead of the no14 AO by TF Oreca of Louis Deletraz and a further 0.013s ahead of the fourth placed no47 COOL Racing Oreca of Frederik Vesti.
The no83 AF Corse Oreca took the top spot in the LMP2 Pro/Am category with Matthieu Vaxiviere’s lap of 1m42.154 good enough for 11th overall.The no23 DKR Engineering Oreca was 2nd fastest in the category with a 1m42.736 lap, 0.07s ahead of the no24 Nielsen Racing Oreca in third.
LMP3 was headed by the no15 RLR M Sport Ligier after Gael Julien lapped the 5.771km track in 1m50.189, 0.572s ahead of the no88 Inter Europol Competition Ligier in second place.Team Virage was third quickest with a 1m51.063 lap, just 0.063s ahead of the top Duqueine M30-D08, the no12 WTM by Rinaldi Racing.
The top 3 in the LMGT3 class were all from different manufacturers, with the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari 296 coming out on top with David Perel’s best lap of 1m54.892.Valentin Hasse Clot was second fastest in the no59 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin Vantage, the French driver’s best lap being a 1m55.001, just 0.109 behind Perel and 0.211s ahead of the no85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 driven by Michelle Gatting.
Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet will take place this afternoon beginning with LMGT3 at 14h40 CEST.
