Motul is a partner in the European Le Mans Series and it has decided to award a special prize – the Motul Award for technical performance – to the best technical performance during a round of the ELMS.
On 13-14-15 July in the Donington 6 Hours the Motul Award for technical award went to the no. 35 Morgan-Nissan entered by OAK Racing.
The driver line-up in the no. 35 Morgan-Nissan ran into engine problems in practice on Friday and then a water infiltration into the fuel storage tank on Saturday and its track time was greatly reduced. However, this succession of problems didn't prevent Olivier Pla from setting the fourth-quickest time in qualifying. Pla and his team-mates Bertrand Baguette and Dimitri Enjalbert (first outing in a sports car event) drove a perfect, consistent race and beat all their rivals to win the Donington 6 Hours (2nd round of the 2012 ELMS).
Andy PRILL – director of Maxted-Page & Prill Ltd., Motul distributor for the auto products in UK, presented the winning team with the Motul Award for technical performance at the finish of the British event.
