The two Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07-Gibsons set the two fastest times during the two-day ELMS Prologue at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya ahead of the opening round of the 2025 European Le Mans Series on Sunday 6 April.
The no34 entry was the quickest of the sister cars, with Luca Ghiotto posting a 1m28.808 lap, just 0.001s ahead of his teammate Tom Dillmann in the no43 Oreca-Gibson. The times were set during the LMP2 and LMP2 Pro/Am session on Monday evening.
The top LMP2 Pro/Am time of the two-day test was also during the same session on Monday, with reigning champion Matthieu Vaxiviere setting a 1m29.121 lap in the no83 AF Corse Oreca-Gibson.
The top LMP3 time set during The Prologue was set by Quentin Antonel in the no68 M Racing Ligier JS P325-Toyota, the 1m36.827 also set on Monday’s LMP3 and LMGT3 session and a tenth faster than Sebastian Gravlund’s best time in the Monday Morning session of 1m36.966 in the no11 Eurointernational Ligier-Toyota.
The best LMGT3 time was set by Wayne Boyd in the no23 United Autosports McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo, the British driver posting a 1m40.870 in the first session on Monday morning.The second fastest LMGT3 time of the two-day test was a 1m41.273 set by Tom Fleming in the no86 GR Racing Ferrari 296 LMGT3.
The next time the cars will be on track at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will be for Free Practice 1 at 11h50 on Friday morning.
