Qualifying for the 2025 Pit Stop Challenge by TotalEnergies was held this evening with the top four teams in LMP2, LMP3 and LMGT3 going through to tomorrow evening’s semi-finals.
In LMP2 the pit crew of the no48 VDS Panis Racing were the quickest with a time of 15.005 seconds, over half a second ahead of the second fastest crew of the no30 Duqueine Team.
IDEC Sport have the opportunity to make it three in a row when the pit crew of the no18 Oreca was third fastest in 16.075s, with the no9 Iron Lynx-Proton crew becoming the 4th semi finalists in the LMP2 category.
M Racing topped the LMP3 category with the no68 Ligier crew posting a time of 17.060 to change all four wheels, with last year’s winners Ultimate coming in second in 17.665s. The top 4 in LMP3 was filled by Racing Spirit of Leman and DKR Engineering, who will join M Racing and Ultimate in tomorrow’s semi-final.
The top team in LMGT3 was the crew of the no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari with the fastest time of the day, 14.120 seconds. The crew of the no63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG was second in 14.130s.
Kessel Racing will have two crews in the semi-final, with the no74 Ferrari crew finishing third with a 14.410, 0.440s ahead of the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari. Last year’s LMGT3 winners Iron Dames finished 7th fastest.
The semi-final for the 2025 Pit Stop Challenge by TotalEnergies will take place tomorrow at 18h15, with the top two crews in each category going through to the final straight afterwards.
