The Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone has attracted a maximum 44 car grid with 16 British drivers and 7 British teams amongst the entries for Round 5 of the 2025 European Le Mans Series on 12-14 September. In total there are 129 drivers and 31 teams representing 28 different nations from all corners of the globe.
After winning in Imola and Spa-Francorchamps, the no48 VDS Panis Racing Oreca-Gibson holds a 20-point lead in the championship standings ahead of the first race in the UK for six years. British driver Ollie Gray will be hoping for another strong performance on his home track alongside his French teammates Charles Milesi and Esteban Masson.
The French team is one of thirteen cars on the LMP2 grid, with Vector Sport, United Autosports and Nielsen Racing competing at home in the ELMS for the first time since 2019.
After finishing second for the third race in a row, the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 winning no43 Inter Europol Competition head to Silverstone in second place, with British driver Nick Yelloly racing once again with his teammates Jakub Smiechowski from Poland and French driver Tom Dillmann.
After winning the first two races in Barcelona and Le Castellet, the crew of the no18 IDEC Sport have not scored any points and will be looking for a return to the podium for British driver Jamie Chadwick and her French and Spanish teammates Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Juncadella.
The no28 IDEC Sport Oreca is crewed by two of the winning drivers from the 2019 4 Hours of Silverstone, Paul-Loup Chatin and Paul Lafargue. This season they are joined by Dutch driver Job Van Uitert, who finished second in the 2019 Silverstone race.
Ben Hanley is another British driver competing in LMP2, with the former race winner joining Venezuelan Manuel Maldonado and Swiss driver Grégoire Saucy in the no22 United Autosports Oreca. Tom Blomqvist is the fourth British driver taking part in LMP2, racing the no37 CLX – Pure Rxcing Oreca alongside FIA WEC LMGT3 champions Aliaksandr Malykhin and French driver Tristan Vautier.
British team Vector Sport is fielding a single car for Ireland’s Ryan Cullen, Vlad Lomko and Pietro Fittipaldi, whose brother Enzo is racing in the no47 CLX Motorsport Oreca.
Northamptonshire based Nielsen Racing is entering a single car in LMP2 for former ELMS champions Filipe Albuquerque and Ferdinand Habsburg, who are joined this season by Turkish driver Cem Bölükbaşı.
The grid is completed by Iron Lynx-Proton, Algarve Pro Racing, Duqueine Team and the second Inter Europol Competition Oreca.
The 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps saw the no20 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca become the fourth different car to take the class win in LMP2 Pro/Am from four races.It also means the British drivers Alex Quinn and Olli Caldwell, along with their Greek teammate Kriton Lentoudis, head to Silverstone in the lead of the class championship standings.
The Anglo-Greek crew lead by just 3-points from American flagged team AO by TF, with three-time ELMS Champion Louis Delétraz and his American teammates PJ Hyett and Dane Cameron looking for their second win of the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon in Silverstone.
There are two British teams on the LMP2 Pro/Am grid, with United Autosports entering a car for British driver Oliver Jarvis and his teammates Marino Sato from Japan and Brazil’s Daniel Schneider.
4 Hours of Le Castellet class winners Nielsen Racing is the second British team on the grid, with former champions John Falb from Las Vegas and Australian James Allen being joined by Brazil’s Sérgio Sette Câmara in the no27 Oreca-Gibson.
Giorgio Roda has taken three of the four class pole positions this season, the Italian racing in the no77 Proton Competition Oreca alongside Austrian Rene Binder and Dutch driver Bent Viscaal.
The grid is completed by reigning champions AF Corse and drivers François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxivière and Alessio Rovera, TDS Racing and DKR Engineering, with Felipe Fraga replacing Thomas Laurent in the no3 Oreca-Gibson.
The no17 CLX Motorsport crew of Theodor Jensen, Adrien Closmenil and Paul Lanchère hold a commanding 31-point lead in the LMP3 standings after winning the first three races from pole position. The Swiss team had to retire in the last race at Spa-Francorchamps after starting from pole position and the Franco-Danish driver crew will be keen to wrap up the championship in the UK.
The only British driver on the grid is Timothy Creswick, who, along with his teammates Belgian Douwe Dedecker and American Reece Gold, are lying in second place in the standings in the no88 Inter Europol Competition Ligier.
Reigning LMP3 Champions RLR MSport are the only British team on the 10 strong class grid, with Danish driver Michael Jensen, South African Nick Adcock and French driver Gillian Henrion claiming two second place finishes in Barcelona and Spa-Francorchamps.
DKR Engineering from Luxembourg are field the only British chassis manufacturer in LMP3, racing the Ginetta G61-LT-P325-EVO-Toyota.Ginetta have returned to the ELMS in 2025 to take on the establish might of the French manufacturers Ligier and Duqueine. The no4 Ginetta-Toyota will be driven by Anti Rammo from Estonia, American Wyatt Brichacek and Mikkel Pedersen.
Polish outfit Team Virage travel to Silverstone after taking the victory in Belgium last month, with Julien Gerbi, Daniel Nogales and Rik Koen eager to make take a second win and take the championship battle to the last round in Portugal in October.
The grid is completed by Eurointernational, Racing Spirit of Léman, Ultimate, M Racing and WTM by Rinaldi Racing, with WTM entering the only Duqueine D09 on the ELMS grid.
